DELF-DALF certifications are independent diplomas meaning that candidates can enrol directly in the level corresponding to their French level. To pass the exam, 50% of the points must be achieved over four language competencies. A higher mark in one competency could compensate for a lower mark in another competency. A mark lower than 5/25 in one of the competencies is grounds for failure.
