THE LONG ABSENCE – 25 September Une aussi longue absence Henri Colpi | France/Italy | 1961 | HD | G 94 mins Scripted by Marguerite Duras and directed by Henri Colpi, a regular editor for Alain Resnais and Agnes Varda, this forgotten New Wave film won the Palme d’Or in 1961.

This screenings from the Dunedin Film Society will place on Wednesday in the Castle 1 Lecture Theatre at 7.30pm.  (Castle 1, 75 Albany Street)

There is a 3 movie pass available for $25. A full year membership costs $70 for waged, $60 for unwaged/students. Full members receive discounted ticket prices at Rialto Cinemas (Monday to Friday), as well as at Whānau Mārama New Zealand International Film Festival (August 2024).
