Book Club Meeting this week

Want to share your thoughts and comments on the latest books shared by the book club? Want to discover the next novel that we have in store for you?

The Alliance Française’s Book Club is meeting this Tuesday (24 July) at 5:30pm at Formosa.

If you are not a member of the book club, and would like more information on the club, feel free to contact us!

What a week!!!

ON EST LES CHAMPIONS!!!

What a beautiful finale to a busy week!

First Belgium v. France in the semi-final (the Alliance Française was clearly sitting on a fence…); and then the world cup final! That got some of our members get up very early indeed!

The AF Dunedin gave them a chance to recover somewhat between the two games, with a healthy serving of cheese and cured meat at our Bastille Day raclette night! We had beautiful food, especially thanks to Julien, who ran the kitchen, and to all the bakers who came with homemade desserts!

Thanks a lot to all! It is now probably time to go back to good night sleeps and healthy meals, to start the term refreshed!

Make sure you arrive with an appetite!

Your committee is looking for volunteers to come and help set up on Friday and Saturday from 5:30pm both days. If you are keen to help, let us know by email (info@dunedin.org.nz) or through Facebook!

Congratulations Elise!

Congratulations to Elise Auvray-Matyn (pictured in the middle) who won the Alliance Française Dunedin’s sweepstake on the 23 June rugby game! She guessed a 34 points win by the All Blacks vs France (closest guess to the actual 35 points difference)! Elise wins an All Blacks rugby ball, a French Happy Hen and a membership to Alliance Française Dunedin!

Bravo Élise!
