  • DELF tout Public – (for adults) Levels A1-B2
  • DALF – ( for adults) Levels C1 -C2

The DELF (Diplôme d’études en langue française) and DALF (Diplôme approfondi de langue française) are diplomas awarded by the French Ministry of Education to prove the French-language skills of non-French candidates.

Cream of mushroom soup with croutons served with a fresh bread roll – V

Cookery Level 4 Students’ Lunch Menu – “Nothing Goes Wasted”

Three courses – $15.00

Starters – $6.00
  • Rotational soup served with gluten free ciabatta bread, rosemary oil and coconut cream foam -(V)
    or
  • Pork head dumplings with a soy and chili dipping sauce
    or
  • Antipasto platter – a selection of pickled and roasted vegetables, selected meats, pesto and gluten free ciabatta bread
Mains – $10.00
  •  Cauliflower fritter with roasted rosemary pumpkin and feta, steamed Brussel sprout leaves drizzled with a balsamic reduction – (V)
    or
  • Pan seared beef skirt with a bone marrow butter, beef jus, pumpkin and kumara mash and sautéed chili Brussel sprout hearts
    or
  • Grilled sugar coated fish fillets, steamed fish balls served with jasmine rice, Thai dipping sauce and steamed green beans

Registrations are now open for all Alliance Française Term 3 French classes.

“ Brain and Sex: How and Why are Men and Women Sexually Different?”

 

Come enjoy tea/coffee and a stimulating talk by Dr Elodie Desroziers, Postdoctoral Fellow . Department of Physiology, University of Otago

  • Why are women and men so different physically but also behaviorally?
  • How and why is the brain sexually differentiated?

Over a 40min presentation, Elodie will try to answer these questions by taking example of the control  of fertility and sexual behavior by the brain.

Presentation will be in English but Q&A session can also take place in French. Feel free to bring some snack food.

Come enjoy an evening of fun while practicing a little French. We have a large number of board games for all age groups. Entry $5 or free if you bring a plate to share, some snacks and/or drinks.
